The thing I love about the My Creative Space meme is that I feel like it keeps me motivated, it's like a game of show and tell and I do often think, I need to make something for My Creative Space- but not in a pressured way at all- just in a way to feel part of this little thing Kirsty has going on, and I love seeing what everyone esle has made too. So, in case I have never said so, thanks Kirsty.
As I couldn't wait to
show Leonie her pincushion, which I was planning on revealing for My Creative Space. I think I was also on the same wavelength as
Kate, as she posted
this post at the same time as I had just put my crocheting down after completing my new cozy.
We have just resumed drinking tea from a teapot- and I really missed the ritual of making a pot. We take our tea seriously and have a dedicated shelf for it... as you just never know what you may feel like.
( yes 10 types of tea are shown here... writing this I worry we may look a bit odd...)
It is a big part of my creative space because when I get stuck or need to stop and think about the logical way of doing something- I have a cup of tea, ponder, and all is right with the world again.
Nope, not odd, perfect I'd say. Might pop in for a cuppa myself one day :) xox
ReplyDeleteNothing like a cuppa to cure your ills... I'm thinking of switching back to the teapot instead of teabag. I might need to go in search of the perfect vintage teapot.
ReplyDeleteThere must be an English bone in your body. The Mr reckons a cup of tea makes EVERYTHING better. (But you wouldn't catch him prancing about with that "poncy herbal stuff"!). Fab cosy, Mrs.
ReplyDeleteLove the cosy!
ReplyDeleteI miss my tea shelf, the Mr. is working on replacement shelves now for the ones we took out.
mmmm...tea
Aww, lovely post. I love hearing what keeps people going. Mine is coffee. When I need a little boost, coffee's my best friend :)
ReplyDeleteLove the tea cosy too!
hehe! word verification is billismo. Very misspelled version of bellissimo!
I always use a teapot for myself every morning, I figure, I am special enough to have special tea in a teapot.
ReplyDeletesadly, no tea cozy here, but yes, we have alot of different teas aswell, so nothing odd about your shelf, LOVE it!!
as Cam & Tania said, tea does make EVERYTHING better :)
♥
Oh me oh my that new CAMERA!!!! You must be happy to get a kettle looking that good!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to be a tea drinker but I've never managed to get past my love of coffee. There's something so nostalgically romantic about tea drinking.
ReplyDeleteI agree about My Creative Space. I find it really motivating too.
Maybe if they invent tea that has triple strength caffeine I could be converted- as teapots and tea cups are so more soft and romantic than coffe cups displayed on a shelf !
ReplyDeleteLovely Cosy. I've been looking at teapots lately as I've become quite addicted to tea. I've been drinking this stuff that's all little rolled up leaves and flowers that uncurl in the hot water. I must also get onto you about a friend for Valentino for littlest boys birthday......happy days to you!
ReplyDeleteLove the tea cosy. I too seek out a cuppa when I'm stuck or need a break.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of tea...not too much though. Love the tea cosy.
ReplyDeleteA pot of tea represents so much more for me.
ReplyDeleteComfort, cosy, childhood, warmth, caring...
Quite the magic potion really.
I love that cosy and My Creative Space day (for the motivation and the chance to peek into creative spaces all love the world) and a good cuppa. We have so much in common!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the new camera is getting a good work out. Is it your favourite possession yet? Mine is, I’d be so lost without it.
cath whereabouts did you procure that tea drawer thingy from?
ReplyDeletei like alot.
Love the colour of the cosy! And, am with you on the My Creative Space. Love peeking at what others are working on on weekly basis. Met and made some really nice people...which is always awesome!
ReplyDeleteNothing odd there, I love tea in our house. I like the ritual involved in making a good pot of tea. Sometimes I even get to drink the whole lot while it is still hot!
ReplyDeleteOh, Cath...your cozy makes me wish I was a tea drinker! Sadly, I've never gotten the hang of hot drinks. And I agree about My Creative Space...it keeps me thinking and motivated. Yay for Kirsty!
ReplyDeleteWow, love that! I'm a pretty big tea drinker as well, but since I'm Chinese, I don't venture far beyond green and black loose leaf teas.
ReplyDeleteLOVE you tea cozy! Did you make up the pattern? I'm such a coffee drinker but after reading the comments on my post and here on yours I might just have to give the old pot a go and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend Ms CC. X
No such thing as too much tea:)
ReplyDeleteOh, a tea shelf... It's marvelous! As is your cosy.
