The lovely people at Penguin have sent me another book to review and I have THREE copies to giveaway to the lovely clever folk who read this blog. WORLD WIDE SHIPPING!!! HOORAY for us!!
The book is called SIMPLE SOFTIES. You may have seen the other books in this series called Softies and More Softies. This is like the prequel. This is the perfect book for someone who has never made a softie before. The patterns are very simple with great pictures, loads of diagrams and really clear instructions. This is my favourite- The Owl and The Pussycat and their lovely pea green boat.
I also love these pretty cats and the raindrop too...
There is a great glossary of stitches in the back to teach you some simple embroidery to do the softies faces. It is the perfect book for a beginner and some of the projects would be great for older children too. Many of the projects do not require a sewing machine- so if you have never made a softie, don't have a sewing machine and have been looking for a place to start- here it is! If you have made lots of softies and need some inspiration for something new- this book is great for you too... I will definately be making a few of these projects for presents.
If you would like to win a book just leave a comment here and make sure you leave an email address if you don't have a blog. I will draw a winner on Tuesday 22nd June and if you miss out the book will be available in stores from 28th June.
Yippeee! and if you are reading this on wednesday it is not to late to vote here
