Turning another year older means I have eaten a lot of chocolate/ cake/ desserts over the last 48 hours and this will continue on into the weekend -some friends are taking me to high tea tomorrow then more cake fest on Sunday.... I like to stretch my birthday for a few days to optimise the cake gorging....Ahem.... So, since I have been pigging out I thought it was mighty time for a giveaway- it is pig related. If you like pigs, please leave a comment and I will send you a fabulous prize that you can WEAR. ( it is not anything bacon related so this giveaway is very suitable for our vegetarian/ vegan etc friends)
It is very fabulous and cool of course and I know you will like it because I do so I reckon you will too.
So enter, below.
Just leave a comment on why you heart the pig.
Go on. Hit me with the pig love.
Addition: You have to be a follower to be a winner
How could you not love those little faces and those weeny little tails, so cute.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with pigs when I read Charlotte's Web as a girl. Wilbur was so endearing and I loved his love for Charlotte. Hope you had the happiest birthday and lots of special time with family & friends..and cake x
ReplyDeleteDepends on the pig. GUINEA PIGS -- yay, I am all about them. Their little piggie lips, their cute little whiskers, their tail-less chunky butts, the way their ears waggle when they speak to you. I love guinea pigs!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all - my apologies to all the vegans and vegetarians, but I love pigs for one reason - BACON!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the birthday festival over the weekend!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love pigs cause their naked! hehe, sure all animals but us are, but their pinky skin just makes them seem nudy-er, hehe.
I'm with Cam .... BACON!
ReplyDelete(Just don't tell my rabbi)
Andi :-)
If I said I heart pigs that would be a lie except for the bit where they are made into salami. Yummo!
ReplyDeleteenjoy the birthday celebrations!
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't like them for the bacon!!
♥
Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI heart pigs and don't eat them. They are clever little animals and apparently as loyal as dogs. Gotta love that!
:)
Happy birthday to you lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteWhich day is it and how old are ya?
I do like a piggy wiggy but definitely not to eat.
Have the best weekend ever! XX
Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteEver since becoming hooked on River Cottage and watching Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall tend his pigs (+chooks/ducks/sheep/cows/veggies) I have been pestering hubby about getting some pigs!
ohhh bloggy birthday!! wonderful!!
ReplyDeletei love pigs too - another Charlottes web fan here but imagine being able to play in mud, be lazy and eat all day -a perfect piggy day!
Not really that into pigs to be honest :) Just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday-week! Enjoy the cake-fest!
ReplyDeleteI like their sang-friod - like me as I am or not at all. Pigs don't really care. They just go on doing what they do. I was born in the Chinese year of the pig and I like to embrace my piggyness. Besides who doesn't love and admire Miss Piggy?
ReplyDeleteWe are pig admirers here too (though not so sure about the phrase "pig admirer") - their noses, their tails and their general noisiness! Wishing you a very happy birthday festival!
ReplyDelete... because I smell great in comparison? (well at least I hope I do!!!)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to wish you a joyous and beautiful Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMuch love
I like piggies!
ReplyDeleteAnd pigging out!
And bacon!
Oh, and happy birthday, too! :)
I"m known in my family as a pig lover...don't quite know how they say I was little when I was born and they called me Jenny Penny Peanut then Jenny Penny pumpkin then Jenny Penny piggy....then last of all Miss Piggy..so the pig thing has stuck...not that they call me that now...and over the yeearts I have collecred a few piggy things!!!

I can't really say why I like pigs.......I just do!
ReplyDeleteThis giveaway is giving me the giggles. I like pigs because they are delicious and versatile.:)
ReplyDeleteI caught the neighbours wandering pig in one of my empty chicken coops the other day. Watching her scratch her behind on the posts in (almost disturbing) ecstasy was very funny. Oink!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
I like pigs because apparently they are very organised ... in their wee piggy pens they sleep in one corner, eat in another, poo in the next one and play in the last. I keep thinking if they came and stayed with us ... they could organise my house ... except for the poo bit ... for the most part we've got that down pat.
ReplyDeleteactually ...tell a lie ... the poo bit too..
ReplyDeleteHubby harbours a desire to own a pot belly pig, think mini and cute with a grown man running around after it in the back yard. I secretly quite like this idea but will not share that thought with him just yet as we are just not set up for a pig.... yet.
ReplyDeleteTheir meat is delicious.*
ReplyDeleteIf you are picking a winner based on comment alone, Andi would have to win hands down. That totally made me snort my tea!!
Hope you have enjoyed "The Festival of ChunkyChooky"!!!
*if you are a mad "How I met your Mother" fan, this might seem a little funnier...
how exciting a secret giveaway!!

I forgot to write why I love pigs - definately bacon (rather a popular choice!) and pork fillets roasted in the oven - amazing!
ReplyDeletePigs are rather cute, and nowhere near as smelly as most people think! And when they're from happy pigs, pork products in general are rather fantastic - cured pork products (I might be pancetta's biggest fan), bacon, slow-roasted pork belly, garlic & herb rubbed roast pork with garlic and chilli sauce (as long as everyone keeps their distance the next day), italian and english and irish pork sausages....when it's good, pork is very very good!
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a lovely few birthday celebratory days!
Piglets are just the cutest with their antics. I love the way they play fight to establish the oink order!! I could watch them do that for hours!! And of course I love bacon and sausages, pork chops, ham..... as long as it's been reared to the highest welfare standards, preferably organic, and original breed...I refuse to buy the budget ranges from poorly kept piggies... there's no earthly reason why meat of any sort should be cheap as chips... just add more chips! ;) I think I'm already a follower.. but will double check - you're in my blogroll - I've just reorganized it into locations so all Aussies are together!! And before long I'm going to have to set up an ex-pat section when I get down under!!!!!

I have a very small glow-in-the-dark piggy that brings me so much joy. Just saying the words 'glow-in-the-dark-piggy' put a smile on my face. OOh and a hessian bag-for-life printed with piggies! Now I'm super happy, after thinking so much about piggies!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Charlotte's Web :-) My Mum still laughs at me because I cried when the spider died....
ReplyDeletepig-a-boo. pig-giggly-boo. piggy power boo! simply cuz it's cute and silly. :)
ReplyDeletePork Rillettes from Raw Foods on Toast - bliss on bread. Slightly salty, slightly chunky, YUM!
ReplyDeleteI love pigs AND so does George Clooney. And I love George Clooney. And so do pigs! So it's just a big win all around.
