Lovely Tina from Penguin posted me this nifty little book to review- GOURMET CROCHET by Christen Haden and Mariarosa Sala. It would be a great Christmas present as it retails for under $20. The book is perfect if you are learning to crochet and you want to actually make something other than granny squares or rows.... when you want to make an actual thing! Their are some great projects inside.

( maybe I am bias as I love bacon and I love cake- not together)
The book is perfect for beginners and these little projects would be great to make for your own kids for some pretend play, or for a gift for a baby, they would probably make great little teether toys. You could also make some for your kids preschool. The book starts with a really good overview of crochet and covers everything you need to know which is really helpful. Tina has given me three to giveaway!
All you have to do leave a comment and I will randomly choose the winner on Friday 3rd Decemeber at about 7pm.
Winners will be notified by email so make sure you include one if you don't have a blog. It would be nice if you had a look around if this is your first time visiting my blog. It would be nice if you followed this blog so that way you could comment on other posts not just the giveaway ones, that would be really very nice.

Crochet is on my must do list for 2011. If you say it's perfect for a beginner then maybe that's where I should start :) That cover makes me want sushi!

ReplyDeleteIs this the book you were talking about on the weekend?
Please don't enter me, I have no urge what so ever to crochet food. I can barely be bothered to cook it most of the time. XX
Crochet is a mistery to me, but I would be willing to take a try with this book :)
