I do love a good wedding. I like to see the groom nervous, ( he was) I like to see the other guests and their frocks... I love to see the way it is all set up- was suppose to be on the beach but it was to hot and windy so moved a to a park nearby- white flags, white aisle to walk up, I love to see the children, flower girls in little pink tulle skirts and white singlets, little boys in rolled up black pants and white shirts and braces, bridesmaids in teal coloured frocks- gorgeous, finally The Bride accompanied by Mum and Dad. All looking equally excited and nervous. I always burst into tears when I see The Bride, (I did) and she burst into tears when she saw the groom. Despite all the bridesmaids, flower girls and The Bride coming down with a shocking stomach bug the day before they all recovered well and looked beautiful. Great speeches with lots of references to the eagerness with which they started a family, The Bride was pregnant with their first child 6 weeks after they met, nearly 5 years ago. It was a great night, the Bride and Groom happy and in love.
I never wear pink but the Bride loves pink so I wore a pink dress...not sure if I have ever shown a picture of Chef...
Busy wore he new dress too, Thanks Kate, and EVERYONE commented on it. Busy was amazingly attentive during the ceremony bit where she kept whispering to me-"Is this the wedding?" She got picked up by our friends and had her first sleepover. Lots of us went back ot where the bride and groom were staying and we had a sleepover too... it was VERY flash:
I was reminded why I hardly drink at all on Sunday morning. A swim in the ocean makes everything better and some nurturing from the friends who looked after Busy and we were better-ish.
