Sydney - Stitches & Craft Show ...an easy way to spend a lot of money!!!

After the looong drive (at one point Busy was banging on the window yelling "Help! Help! let me out!!!") we arrived in Sydney- first stop for me Stitches and Craft show ... after navigating my way across Sydney on bus and train I arrived.... I was a bit freaked out by the massive amount of... whats the word I am looking for... crap? for sale on the first floor- and a whole lot of scary people elbowing each other out of the way to get to scrap booking supplies and other things which at times did not
relate to craft at all ( anyone want to buy a HOUSE???) anyway...
....off I went in search of goodness. I found the lovely women at Prints Charming who kindly pointed me in the right direction...to the incubator where I found crafty heaven....so much talent and clever talented women!
I also bought some other lovely bit and pieces and scraps from some very clever people:
Kristen Doran 2. surface art 3. the red thread prints charming and last two are Rummage plus loads of other scraps and bibs and bobs...
But a special thanks goes to the lovely Nan from Rummage who- when I bought this great blue top for Busy snuck into the bag a lovely little peg doll she had seen me eyeing off. I love her! I have hidden her from Busy as she is sure to destroy her - Thankyou!!!
Can anyone recommend a good book about embroidery? Has anyone got or seen sublime stitching?

Looks like it's improved miles since I went. My experience was very much scrapbookers and nana fabric.

  7. So many reports from the Sydney Craft Show said the Incubator Section was the place to be... unless of course you were looking for a house! Great collection of gorgeous fabrics you took home.

Embroidery book.... I recently borrowed one for the library that is excellent. It's the Readers Digest Complete Guide to Embroidery Stitches. I'm not sure if it's still available to buy or how much or if it is better/worse than others... it was one the library had at the time I was there! Hope this helps.
