our town is cut in half

our little town is cut off due to rising flood waters, picture above shows the waters over the bridge...no power either- thankgod for the net book- Busy is not coping with the lack of power 'fix it mummy" but was quite excited about the candle light dinner last night ,she was singing happy birthday at the candles...Chef is not coping with the potential food wastage if the power doesn't come back on soon we will have to start chucking food out ... the irony of this is we have had about 500mm of rain in the last 24hours and the rainwater tank is full- which is our only source of water- but due to no power we have no water because the pump is not working!!! aaaarrrrgggghhh........................................... but most of all I am devastated at having to cancel crafternoon with Flossy-P and Miss E, I was so looking forward to an afternoon of girlyness and tea drinking and wabbit sewing- thankfully just hand sewing is left to do now but I had special surprises planned and everything... thankfully this lastest arrived yesterday, so there is lots of daydreaming going on.
praying for power...

  1. I hope you are not marooned for too long.
    But it's still raining here!

  2. That is an amazing photo! not easy to deal with power outages. There was a huge storm where I live (large metropolitan area)last September and almost everyone lost their power, some for a week. Hope you are luckier.

  4. Miss an afternoon or crafternoon with Floss-p; I would want to slit my wrists over that one.

I'm sure you could have swam over.

    xoxo

Hope you are all doing well.

Your work is so amazing and your choice in girlfriend even more so.

    Love Renee
