Ebay

OOOOoooooooooooooooooooooh Ebay how you give me the shits with your dodgy descriptions and your absolutely crap blurred photos, your ugly typeface, your stupid ridiculous postage prices ( $45 to have a dress posted from USA) your hard to navigate style and your dumb sections and the dumb emails you send me.
How is it possible that people make a living selling stuff on there? How has it survived???
When you compare it to Etsy.... well there is no comparison. But I will continue to look for  a bargain on Ebay since I found this a while ago - I KNOW treasure awaits.  I know it does!!!
....but speaking of treasure , I actually struggled to breathe for a moment when I saw these giant letters on Poppytalk

They are made by hindsvik , which you may have seen on Etsy, a classic example how good photography- as NOT seen on Ebay - can make anything look lovely.
If they make an ampersand I may have to auction off a kidney on Ebay (- I will take really good pictures, and give a full description with measurements etc...) should I even ask what the postage would be to Australia??? Should I torture myself with this information??? Should I? Well I did. I also suggested flying over and buying a plane ticket for the letter to sit next to me on the way home.... perhaps I should just buy a jigsaw............................................ ( I will let you know when I hear back about the postage)
addition : postage is a lazy $195 USD by surface mail.

  2. Hi, I love the letters too, and I agree about ebay, it is time consuming to use, and generally looks tacky, including the emails I receive! Go etsy!

  6. That e is fantastic! I think if you were going to ebay your kidney you should stick with the ebay trend of crappy photo, bad description (throw in some typos too) and make the postage double the price of the kidney. I hate ebay too but yeah I know people who have scored some great finds on there.

I don't think I'd be able to choose letter. Maybe a number... like a big house number. That'd be cool!

  12. The letters are fab...and it only just now occurred to me that my husband is quite handy with power tools and wood, I may have to come up with a crafty way to get him to make me some. Can you hear my wheels spinning?
