Big thanks

Thank you so much to everyone for your lovely words yesterday. I really appreciated all the kindness. Special extra thanks with cream, icecream, nuts and a cherry on top to Vicky for being the first one to buy a pattern, Thanks Vicky, you made me all teary, with gratefulness and with sadness, that you are affected by this too. A couple of you emailed me to suggest I sell a finished one, so that is now listed

It is a long road ahead for our friend and her family. My sister told me the other day that her bestie has breast cancer. She is 38 years old. A timely reminder from Lexi over here. I think the best I can do is avoid any more cliches.

I took this picture in a little beach town nearby called Urunga. I had to lay on the ground to take it, I realised at this point that you actually have to get dirty to take good photos. This was news to me.
The giveaway ends tonight at midnight. I have another one starting tommorrow too so get in quick as its not going to run for very long! Hint: it is sticky and pretty....

  1. I'm just catching up. Cancer does fuckin suck!!! Its a prick of a disease.....just a dirty big PRICK!! on the other end of the scale.... I think I am happy to. I have been considering this alot latley and if I had a dream it was to live in the bush, with a beautuful fella and have a couple of free radical kids. I wonder what our next dreams will be? xx

  2. We decided last year at our house that Cancer should be permanently renamed 'fucking cancer'.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Truly sorry. There are no words.

    That photo is absolutely beautiful.

  3. Oh, I love that picture! Yes, I find some of my best photos entail some dirty work.
I know very few people who have not been touched by cancer - through loved ones and family etc. I love your cross stitch, it's brilliant.
