  1. This is wonderful! Though we set a limit of three gifts for Christmas and only one for his birthday - a sandpit. :)

  3. How fortunate, seems I have successfully finished up the list for the kiddo! Oh, and an ornament because it's tradition.
However I think I have gone over a bit for 1 thing to read. Came across an armload of gorgeous books at the op shop for 25cents each, so she may get 3 things to read this year.

    This is a great list!

  6. Nice Cath, I feel sick as I see kids drowned with presents- it doesn't make them happy and free...it suffocates them. I find the challenge of comparisons challenging though- it seems to get harder as the kids get older and the friends present stakes get raised to ipods, iphones, flash cameras, games consoles. I am glad we will go away for a bit so hopefully the 'what did you get for Christmas' will have settled by the time we get home. I can't believe how many sales assistants and people in general say to my 9 and 11 year olds 'whats on your Christmas list, what are you getting for Christmas, what do you want'- it changes 'gift' from gift to expectation...and then, after Christmas with the 'what did Santa bring you' ahhhh, obviously I struggle with this!
