More birthday stitchin'.... in red

It was my friends birthday today and we lunched together- just the ladies ....I embroidered this tea towel for her as she loves cooking and eating, (I excel at the latter and don't do so well with the former). On completion I realised it was probably more decorative than functional ...as I don't really know how it would go in the wash... but it does look nice on our stove so I may have to make another.... the red stitching continues... maybe one day I will stitch something in another colour...but red is just so good.

  5. Nothing wrong with a decorative tea towel ... I would also like your oven ... ours is from 1960 and whilst I admire its design ... it only has one speed which I like to call the disco inferno speed ie...'burn baby burn'

  7. It's gorgeous Cath! I have two 'only for decoration' tea towels - one to make the oven look pretty and one to make the dishwasher look pretty.

  10. When you're on to a good thing...

    You hearing me?

And like lucky birthday lady would ever actually use it - except maybe to polish silver cutlery - but only around the tea towel edgery...
