Do you need that?

Every month or so this peice of gold arrives in our letterbox.

It is full of hilarious things you don't need -it absolutely kills us. The way they describe the items is too funny. We have a deal that you aren't allowed to look at it until the other person can look too, so you can explore the delights together. We have been known to read it in bed together pissing ourselves laughing. Here are some highlights!
There are containers for every conceivable fruit and vegetable:
I actually thought the banana one would be quite handy...
And then the ridiculous, if this isn't a sure fire way to spill a glass of vino I don't know what is:
And this clever way to hide your valuable jewels:
.........and those pesky cake racks- they take up so much room:
Find me a person who owns an iphone who would buy this:
And then, this, which Chef suggested may be useful to use whilst eating:
But this one, well, we laughed so hard, imagine if you saw some bloke at the beach wearing one of these:

But, alas, then I saw this:

... I have always wanted one of these.... ever since as a child I saw Lucille Ball laying on the lounge after a night out with Dezzy. It arrives this afternoon.

  2. I LOVE these books but I have to be careful not to 'bag' them 'cos I see their products all the time in peoples homes! lol! My 'not so favourites' that I see everywhere? *The little shower squeegy (that's never used), the metalframe around the toilet with the above shelf, the 'rock' for the spare outside key...... ummm... you get my drift. lol. I shamefully admit that I've been sucked into buying stuff too though. Hmmm... and I think like that tomato holder....? I hope you enjoy the ice pack. 2 cute.. Ha, ha...

  4. I can't tell you how much I LOVE these catalogues. Absolutely hilarious.

I would have bought the ice-pack too. I'm dubious about the banana holder though. What if your banana was too straight or curvier? I think you'd need a set of them ... all with different grades of curve ( ... see, I could be a designer for HomeCare).

  10. Ha ha ha ha.......OMG!
I actually own the lemon, the tomato & the onion containers!
To justify my insanity - they actually do keep them longer in your fridge!
    Hope you love your ice-pack.

  15. I love that reading this treasure in bed has become a highlight for you - doesn't it make you ask what has my life become? Am I the person who needs special holders for my fruits and vegies, or a place to hide my precious trinkets. Do I need special phone holders and fold up racks and heaven forbid a cape to conduct my own home bowl cuts (I'm sure they even sell bowls on page 33). Would I find my partner sexy in a wraparound towel, or even a blanket sack. Oh my where is my catalogue....I am seriously missing out!

  19. I have the lemon keeper. It is a great way to hold your half-lemons while they get mouldy in the back of the fridge. Before I bought it at the dollar store, my lemons had to go mouldy in ordinary plastic containers. ;-)

  21. OK you've made me sorry I have refused to have these books come to my house. My fav is the hair cutting cape. Now, I wonder who will let me cut their hair? Must find a victim!

  22. A friend of mine gave me one of those banana protectors a while back. I've barely used it. Do you want it?

  24. Oh boy. That tapestry armchair 'safe' is a real must-have... and so very comfortable, I'm sure.

I confess we have one of those ice thingies. The inlaws gave it to us... and now I know where they shop. Oh dear.

  25. I never get those magazines anymore. Ms L and I love seeing all the crazy stuff in them.

  26. Oh hilarious! I have to admit though I never understood the ice bag thing, sounds like a recipe for a headache. Tell us how it goes - quality test please! You also may smirk at those banana holders, but I saw them for sale all over New Zealand...they really do raise more questions than provide answers though, don't they.
